In a small village on the edge of a forest, there lived an elderly woodcarver. His name had been long forgotten, but there was one thing everyone knew: anyone who asked him for something would have their wish granted. However, there was one condition—your request had to be for someone in greater need than yourself.

One day, a young man came to the woodcarver and said:
– I want wealth, but I will give it to someone who needs it more than me!

The old man smiled and handed him a small chest. The young man grew wealthy, but because he gave away his fortune to others in need, he remained humble. Years passed, and the young man, now older, returned to the woodcarver and asked:
– You didn’t just give me wealth. You gave me something greater. What was the secret?

The woodcarver smiled again and replied:
– The secret is simple: those who live with generosity never feel poor.

And so, this story became an unforgettable legend in the village.
