Parvej Husen Talukder: Kavya Kishor International (KKI) was established on August 1, 2020, under my guidance. Although the beginning was difficult, the magazine started overcoming publication hurdles from October 2020. I had to cover the initial expenses and other costs from my pocket money. During critical times, I received advice from various esteemed individuals in Bangladesh. The magazine’s first name was Kavya Kishor, and it started publishing in Bengali. However, from the following year (2021), new changes were introduced. Kavya Kishor was renamed Kavya Kishor Worldwide, and the publishing house began releasing two separate magazines: a Bengali magazine Monthly Kavya Kishor and an English one Kavya Kishor English. At that time, The Kavya Kishor English magazine was led by poet, Professor Nilufar Jahan, then head of the English department at Kabi Nazrul Government College, Dhaka. Kavya Kishor W (Monthly Kavya Kishor and Kavya Kishor English) started gaining widespread recognition across the country. Later in 2022, Kavya Kishor W began attracting international readers and writers in various ways. Kyrgyzstan’s English writer Umuthai Ihralieva joined the editorial team of Kavya Kishor English. By 2022, Kavya Kishor English met all the criteria for a global magazine and gained worldwide recognition. Shortly after mid-2022, Australian poet Michael Hislop wrote for Kavya Kishor for the first time. Later that year, he began writing regularly for the magazine. In February 2023, the Kavya Kishor W authorities (I and others member) requested poet Michael Hislop to join as the executive editor of the Kavya Kishor English magazine for the sake of world literature, and Michael Hislop accepted the position with honor. Thus began a historic era. Kavya Kishor started gaining even more popularity overnight. In September 2023, Kavya Kishor (Kavya Kishor Worldwide) was transformed into an international non-profit literary organization under the name Kavya Kishor International (KKI). However, from September 2023,  Kavya Kishor English was discontinued, but the Bengali publication continued, and a new magazine, Luminance, was launched. Currently, under the leadership of Michael Hislop, KKI and its publications Kavya Kishor (Bengali) and Luminance are being successfully managed globally, with regular publication activities ongoing on the KKI web portal. Overall, I hope KKI will gain even more recognition and global success.
