TIME ESCAPES
By Richmond Winga

Indeed it was vast
It was as vast as the sky
It was so satisfyingly enough
No petition about it
Yet now it has gone

I have misused it
Childishness, loitering all over the village
Made me lose it
I did not even ponder about it
Sleeping the whole night
Yet now it is gone

Indeed I had a chance
I had a chance of getting out of my poverty
I did not have to sleep that much
I had to put much effort into it
Yet now it is gone

Indeed it is gone
It has gone without a word of farewell
Due to my stubbornness
Surely I have missed it
Time lost is never regained.
