Sylhet, April 27, 2026: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Sylhet International University organized a seminar on “Introduction to Industrial IT Sector: Skills, Standards and Expectations,” bringing students closer to current industry realities.
The session focused on in-demand technical skills, professional standards, and workplace expectations, while highlighting the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Industry representatives from IT Lab Solutions Ltd. shared practical insights into IT careers, offering students a clearer understanding of professional environments and expectations.
As part of the event, an online quiz contest was held, with the top 10 participants receiving awards. The seminar also introduced internship opportunities and career development initiatives aimed at providing hands-on experience and exposure to emerging IT trends.
University leadership, including the Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Dean, and Head of CSE, attended the program.
The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on industry-academia collaboration to better prepare students for careers in the evolving technology sector.
