Dhaka, 27 April 2025: A new wave of Bangladeshi internet entrepreneurs is rapidly transforming the country’s digital landscape. With innovation, ambition, and local understanding, these entrepreneurs are solving real-world problems and shaping Bangladesh’s online economy.
Leading the first generation of internet ventures, Fahim Mashroor, founder of Bdjobs.com and Ajkerdeal.com, laid the groundwork for online employment and e-commerce platforms. Ayman Sadiq, the founder of 10 Minute School, made online education accessible to millions of students, especially during the pandemic.
In the transport and logistics sector, Hussain M Elius and the late Fahim Saleh built Pathao, Bangladesh’s leading ride-sharing and delivery app. Meanwhile, Adnan Imtiaz Halim, CEO of Sheba.xyz, introduced a digital marketplace for household services, empowering thousands of workers.
In online retail, Najmus Saquib and his team launched Chaldal.com, now Bangladesh’s largest online grocery delivery platform. Similarly, Sabbir Hossain introduced food delivery through HungryNaki, marking Bangladesh’s early steps into app-based dining services.
The new generation of entrepreneurs is also making headlines. Parvej Husen Talukder, a young poet and entrepreneur, recently launched Khujoweb.com, a Bangla-language search engine focused on providing safe and localized content for Bangladeshi users.
Other notable figures include Wahid Mahmud (Geeky Social), Sajid Rahman (Telenor Health), Mahmudul Hasan Sohag (OnnoRokom Group), Shafqat Islam (NewsCred), and Zubair Syeed (Misfit Technologies), all of whom are contributing to Bangladesh’s expanding digital economy.
As Bangladesh pushes forward toward its goal of becoming a “Smart Bangladesh” by 2041, these internet entrepreneurs are expected to play a central role. Their efforts not only create businesses but also inspire a generation of youth to dream bigger, build local solutions, and compete globally.
