MK Timothy aka Musasizi Timothy Karubanga, is a Ugandan angel investor, serial entrepreneur, and the founder of several companies, including Tim Tech Consults and MK Timothy & Company. He is known for his efforts in promoting foreign investment in Uganda, as well as his involvement in the country’s tech industry.

Early Life and Education

Musasizi Timothy was born and raised in Uganda. He developed an interest in entrepreneurship and technology at a young age, eventually pursuing formal education in information technology in Japan.

Career

Tim Tech Consults

In 2010, Timothy founded Tim Tech Consults, an information technology company providing tech solutions and consultancy services. The company grew under his leadership, delivering IT services across various sectors in Uganda.

MK Timothy & Company

Recently, Timothy founded MK Timothy & Company, an advisory platform aimed at attracting foreign entrepreneurs to invest in Uganda. The company focuses on showcasing business opportunities, including businesses for sale, and promoting trade and investment prospects in the country. This initiative aims to make Uganda a more attractive destination for international investors by providing them with essential information and guidance.

Investments and Ventures

As an angel investor, MK Timothy has invested in multiple companies, some of which have had mixed outcomes. Notable ventures include:

Homeduuka: An online grocery service that delivered goods to residences and offices in Uganda’s major towns. Unfortunately, the company did not achieve long-term success.

Takeaway Uganda: A food delivery service that later collapsed, despite initial growth in Uganda’s urban centers.

Although some of these ventures were short-lived, Timothy continues to explore new investment opportunities and is committed to supporting startups in Uganda’s evolving business landscape.

Personal Life

MK Timothy is known for his passion for entrepreneurship, technology, and investment. Outside of work, he remains involved in mentoring upcoming entrepreneurs and providing advice to businesses on how to thrive in Uganda’s market.
