Bhikitia.org, a rising multilingual online encyclopedia based in Bangladesh, has secured the 33rd position among the Top 100 Knowledge Sharing Platforms worldwide, as published by the F6S community on July 1.

The F6S ranking, which highlights innovation and impact in the global knowledge ecosystem, recognized Bhikitia for its commitment to providing open, diverse, and multilingual information, with a particular focus on the Bengali language.

Launched in October 2024, Bhikitia has quickly gained traction as an inclusive platform offering freely accessible content on a wide range of topics. The project aims to reduce the language gap in digital knowledge and empower underrepresented communities through accessible information.

Founder Parvej Husen Talukder expressed his gratitude, stating, “This recognition is a major milestone for us. It affirms our mission to make knowledge available to everyone, regardless of language or location. We are proud to represent Bangladesh on a global stage.”

Bhikitia operates as a non-profit, volunteer-driven initiative. It encourages contributions from across the globe and promotes digital literacy, local culture, and educational equity. The platform stands out for offering child-friendly content and supporting both professional and grassroots contributors.

The F6S list features platforms that are shaping the future of knowledge sharing through innovation, community engagement, and inclusivity. Bhikitia’s appearance on this list highlights the growing influence of emerging platforms from the Global South.

As Bhikitia continues to expand, the team has called for greater participation from volunteers, partners, and donors to strengthen its mission of building a free and inclusive digital encyclopedia for all.
