The undignified pine trees around Mt. Everest
Breathe and sleep in long rows side by side-
And the noiseless wind blows down the nests,
Where the owls and caterpillars try to hide!
Secrets unfold and the hearts of old habitats throb,
As they begin to shout from the television towers-
Beneath the daffodil-lights, softly to veil the heights,
And create paths for the sun-flecked loitering hours!
Daydreams love to return on pallid Earth,
To present the solo Indian Avatar dance-
But cleave the beauty of summer shade in two,
Enhanced with laughter, drenched in romance!
How smooth and quickly the time goes by,
And how many days slide the God’s powers?
As the bitter sky and cold winter obey the winds,
And settle within the sun-flecked loitering hours!
Quivering sunlight kills the evening dreams,
And flickering flame of heart swears no love-
But a shadowless delight in a brooding night
Is born in silence, same as in a mating dove!
No doubt, the copper sun on a still stream,
Evokes the thrills to energize the powers-
And the somnolent spirits drink my poems,
To wait for the sun-flecked loitering hours!!
