Maid Čorbić – Poem and biography

Maid Čorbić from Tuzla, 24 years old. In his spare time, he writes poetry that has been praised and awarded on several occasions. He also likes to help others around him, and is a member of the WLFPH for World Unity and Peace. He is currently the editor of the portal First Balkan Artistic Universe headed by Dijana Uherek Stevanović, and the selector of several competitions on that page, which aims to unite all poets around the world. Many works were also published in anthologies and magazines (Chile, Spain, Ecuador, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Indonesia, Bhutan, Birland, Spain, etc.), as well as printed copies of the anthology of poems “Sea in the Palm” and “Stories from Isolation “, and “Kosovo Božur”, which was published in 2020. With his efforts and work, he reached numerous acquaintances around the world, and in 2020 he was declared poet of the year in the Indo-Universe group, which also deals with charity. Also a person who stands up for justice and has many acquaintances in front of him. What sets him apart from others is his temperament and his songs, which he most often describes as realistic, but also romantic, which always have a sad character at the culmination of the written track.

 

Maid is a global author of the 44th world culture and the founder of the international contest “Written by the Pen” and the global “Peace Against War”. His songs are sung all over the world and as a global author, he selflessly helps others around him in his written footsteps. As a young author, he was recognized on Facebook, which has over 10,000 diplomas and awards. At the competition “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” for 2024, he won sixth place in the field of prose and fourth in the field of poetry. His works have also been visited by foreign publications that are very happy to proudly present them in the environment.

 

He won the BigBang award from Radio Kameleon in Tuzla in 2021 by the jury for his written track in the competition segment. In the same year, he was declared India’s poet of the year. In addition to these awards, he has behind him many anthologies that have traveled around the world and local competitions. He also has a poetry medal in a competition and many collaborations for various magazines around the world and the surrounding area.

 

Maid is a poet who mostly writes love songs, but also reflective works in which he represents the environment in which he finds himself. Skillfully speaking about the truth and various things around him, he is the pride of his country, which he represented for three years (2020/2023). It is also valid for a poet who is a critical auditor and a member of the global association DGYPA in Bhutan for the youth segment and the development of youth in the environment and the world and the written track. In addition, he is also in the WLFPH, which represents the poets of the world and peace-loving authors who connect borders. He is a participant in the Mili Duel and is in the TOP 500 in 2021, representing Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was also a member of Ziri Escritores son Frontreras who is from Spain as well as Galaxia for the international prize in 2021.

 

LOVE IS NOT A GRAIN OF RICE

It was not ordered

love must be given to everyone

give the world some color

for a better existence of humanity

Love is not a grain of rice

so let’s take it easy

just because one quarrel

changes things and destinies

Love is a vicious circle

but until love becomes constant

we can still lose our dreams

which are woven from existence and embrace

Life is sometimes a lie

but as long as love exists

hope cannot die lightly

because hope is the meaning of life

And love has an expiration date

people would say that lightly

they judged everything without question

and some people they don’t even know!

Destiny carved in the bottom of the soul

I guess that’s the phrase for us unlucky ones

“Love is not a grain of rice

so that it can be thrown lightly!”
