Strangeness Underneath Shadowiness
By
Hillol Ray
A weeping willow may induce “Hillolian” love,
Amid the verdurous veils and dense thickets-
But my wits get stolen away to find the cause,
As you keep me off your high fence pickets!
My soul haunts you under the Christmas moon,
To feel the warmth of your heart that’s so kind-
And I assure this truth of my saying.
Not for the knowledge in your mind!
The flowers bloom in your silhouette grace,
But my heart meanders like autumn stream-
And the touches of your hairs make me stare,
While your whisper rings aloud in my dream!
The keys to my sleep rest happily in your purse,
Till you unlock our bedroom’s door in the morn-
And through the windows, I watch the leafy skies,
When a hungry elf twists the ears of a yellow corn!
Strangeness underneath shadowiness in a capsule of love
Silences the high-volt surges softly at a descended noon-
Though awkward, but daffodils still bloom in backyard,
And your sweetest smile brings me the Christmas moon!
The ferny floor of your doll room becomes a ball room,
But looks deeply and eagerly into your bluish gray eyes-
And cocoons me well beneath your braid less curly hair,
While playing Elvis music for our happiness’ sake to rise!!
