I don’t want to die but then again I’m

Gale Acuff

usually always up for something new
but I could live to be 100, that’s
not exactly new, I’ll be very old
before I’m new, even new again, like
I was when I was born so maybe when
I’m newly dead I’ll wake up new again,
somewhere else, of course–at Sunday School there’s
Heaven and Hell, they say, but not much in
Between and to get to Heaven I must
believe in God and be damn good, as for
Hell all I have to be is natural,
ha ha, but whatever the truth is I’ll
know it when likely it’s too late and
if I don’t like it then I’m not leaving.
