Warrior spirit

More time
and more true reason
neverending Story
ancient existence
scattered seeds
tired faces.
All is silence
I seek in me breaths
suspended moments
free breaths
unexplored frontiers
torn torments.
We are planets
distant lands
rebel comrades
invisible threads
swords of love
brothers and sisters.
I live by dancing
fighting and rejoicing
under the oak
of majestic enchantment
humble servant
quivering archer.
Roll the drum
the ground vibrates
decisive steps followed
the lost sea
of clouded minds
from imprinted torpor
in the noble soul
of motionless men.

Always ready smiles!

With the hands
earth dirty
sweat on the forehead
so tired and hungry
they were the little wonders
warrior hearts
the battles of many parents
of other times
great hard workers
tireless workers
safe havens for families
faces wrinkled by time
walk united in faith
hand in hand
of the companion.
The smell of warm bread
always on the table
those seeds never violated
the big love
locked up in pain
work under the sun
that stole from rest
a long time
but he honored
and gave dignity
they were the parents
calloused hands
than once
those ever ready smiles
to life and freedoms.

With the sky in your eyes

Who you love

don’t throw away love

rest in dreams

tell with every smile

with the sky in my eyes

every cherished sigh.

Who you love

lives in caresses

in the smallest gestures

laughs on the shores of days

and then the spell of madness

open your heart to love.

Sea never lost!

Sing life

without the chains

they sing the word

and the truths in the veins

in this rebellious breath

where fate

he was never born

nor is darkness ever winter

even if the ways

they are poisons in thoughts.

Sea

which is not

never lost

deep inside the roots

place where the values

they have always been seeds

there they reign eternal

respect and freedom

every faith in life

stones and words.

Dignity

it is an oak tree

mighty

with a majestic crown

with branches stretched to the sky

leaves

songs in the heart

without constraints and burdens

the roots sink into history.

At the bottom of the sea

in the night

hopes

they sail on the tides

last trip

it never was

suspended

in the bowels of the soul

love is

eternal breath inside.

Freedoms fly away!

And meanwhile it’s raining

in the streets of the town

and slowly return

in their homes

tired from hard work

sweaty hands

rudderless hopes

humble fates in life.

Freedoms fly away

and dignity too

behind the windows in emptiness

and then tears fall into the dark

of these lives stolen from the stars

under this black sky

wounded by rage in the flesh

they die in hearts in silence. *** Dirty hands with earth

The face

always rough

soiled hands

in the eyes

the light of memories

face streaked with fatigue

farmer at heart

and in life.

You come

still from afar

and inside this dress

dirt from stones

get out of the grooves

you wear

the smell of the ears

and some seeds. *** The greatest novel of life

Roses again

again the sea and poetry

in the blood and in the heart

in this crazy desire

love that screams louder

black or white is never grey.

It’s love

the greatest novel of life

always young never tired

eternally in love with madness

a little out of my mind

king of life and heart.

Love and its smell

his words and his every reason

this rebellious heart

that doesn’t stay in the skin

lives and dances with its waves

disappears in the dark of night.

 

The poet Francesco Favetta was born in Sicily in Sciacca, he has always loved poetry, writing verses, but above all culture, food for the soul: culture is Freedom, it is Free Spirit, it is Soul in Movement, not it should never be harnessed!

In 2018 he was awarded by the Accademia di Sicilia, Academician of Sicily.

He has been published in various anthologies and in various magazines, among which, we mention a few:

Finally, the poet Francesco Favetta is convinced that poetry will be the weapon with which humanity will make their lives free, and furthermore beauty will always be a truth that will never be buried:
