today I miss happy human faces that are nice to us
with blue eyes full of heaven and beautiful human dreams
for the words of encouragement flowing from warm lips in a difficult time for us
where we are looking for the humanity that we so lack today
when others thoughtlessly vote for it, which they themselves do not feel

I look with fear at the shared globe where brute force dominates
and fire mercilessly devours the modest possessions of the poor man’s whole life
war kills the living, tramples their bodies into a black, aching earth
everywhere you can see only bloody tears of death carried by drones and rockets
let us cry aloud for Peace, those who are thirsty on this earth

united by willpower, let us build permanent dams against every war
let us help the nations of the world to sow only good and reap bountiful crops
that no tyrant would ever murder fathers, mothers and children with impunity
let the poetry of the world light our way and warm us like the sun
let us go towards the unity of the Nations with our hearts in our hands for a life in harmony

Vivir en Unidad

Hoy extraño los rostros humanos felices que nos son amables
con ojos azules llenos de cielo y hermosos sueños humanos
por las palabras de aliento que fluyen de labios cálidos en un momento difícil para nosotros
donde buscamos la humanidad que tanto extrañamos hoy
cuando otros, sin pensar, votan por lo que no sienten por si mismos

Miro con miedo un globo compartido gobernado por la fuerza bruta
y el fuego devora sin piedad las escasas posesiones de toda la vida del pobre hombre
la guerra mata a los vivos, pisotea sus cuerpos en tierra negra y dolorosa
en todas partes solo puedes ver lágrimas sangrientas de muerte llevadas por drones y cohetes
¡clamemos a gritos por la Paz, todos sedientos de paz en esta tierra!

unidos por voluntad, construyamos diques permanentes contra toda guerra
ayudemos a los pueblos del mundo a sembrar nada más que el bien y cosechar abundantes cosechas
que ningún tirano jamás asesinaría a padres, madres e hijos con impunidad
deja que la poesía del mundo ilumine nuestra forma de vida y caliente como el sol
luchamos por la unidad de las naciones con nuestros corazones en nuestras manos para vivir en armonía
